Did You Ever Get Burned Out? Then Read My Story
Did you ever get yourself into burnout territory? These misfortunes actually struck me a few years ago. I was stuck in that boring job, and I hated every minute of it. And then I got kicked out of the job. This happened because I had burned myself out on the job, plus the boss disliked me. It was actually a blessing in disguise. Since that job was making me sick, it was good to get rid of it.
The problem was what I should do to make a living. After all those years of “education”, I had no intention to get more of that. Plus I had to make some cash immediately.
OK, I had a computer and an Internet connection. Plus I had some idea of how to make web pages. Well, by searching online I realized there were money-making business opportunities everywhere. I could even get started without having a product of my own to sell.
At first, I made some money by running AdSense ads on some of my web sites. It didn’t take me long to understand I could do better by promoting stuff as affiliate. What this means is that you recieve commissions for promoting other people’s stuff.
One example is Clickbank. You see, Clickbank is the major payment processor used by those who sell some virtual product, like an ebook, online. And you can very easily sign up to be an affiliate for any of these products. Then you recieve generous commissions if someone buys a product through your affiliate link.
Usually you get at least 50% of the product selling price for your marketing effort. Imagine for example an ebook, on the subject of making money online. It sells for $47. Then you may get about $25, or more, for each sale referred by you. From what I’ve seen, you can make enormous amounts of dollars by simply promoting well-chosen products from Clickbank.
As for myself, I have had good success promoting web hosting companies. I set up a simple web site with reviews of a couple of web hosts, and collected commissions when people signed up through my affiliate links. The only problem with this approach is the stiff competition. Many webmasters are trying a similar strategy, and often they don’t really know anything about the web hosts they are promoting. This turns would-be customers away. As for myself, I do my research and only promote hosting providers I know have a good reputation.
