Some Tips For Those Who Never Want To Retire

For some people retiring is something they look forward to for years. Suddenly you will be your own boss. You won’t have to get up a 5 every morning and face the ever-worsening traffic. To others it’s something they dread more than anything else. The lack of enough money for even a small luxury like visiting a friend that stays far away. The terrible feeling of emptiness when you get up in the morning and nobody cares what you do.

There is something you can do to solve both the financial problems and the fulfillment problems that retirement could bring. Start writing a blog. When you reach retirement age you have a lifetime of experience behind you. Work experience. Experience in interacting with other people. Perhaps you have traveled a lot. Many people would love to hear from you and share their own experiences with you.

You will also be able to make money blogging. Sign up for a Google Adsense account and display the ads next to you your blogs. Whenever someone should click on one of the Google ads, you will get a percentage of the advertising income from this. You can also sign up for affiliate programs, like Amazon and display the ads on your blog pages. If one of your visitors buys something from Amazon, they will pay you a commission.

You don’t have to do this full time. You can do it as often or as seldom as you want. The money from the ads and affiliate sales will supplement your retiring income.

Writing a blog offers more rewards than just money though. When you write something on your blog you are sharing a little bit of yourself. Other people will read it and often comment on what you said. This way a conversation could start that can go on for days or weeks. Many people might relate to you because they had similar experiences. Others might disagree with you, causing a serious online debate. You are bound to make many new friends - some of them just around the corner and others in countries which you first have to look up on the map.

Another positive aspect of blogging is that this is something that you can do until you are very old. It is in fact a great way of earning money and keeping yourself busy when you are old. There are many bloggers who are in their seventies and eighties. It’s a great way to make new friends and to stay in touch with old friends.

You also do not need to be in a great physical condition to do this. Being in a wheelchair should not prevent you from becoming a blogger. Neither should rheumatism or arthritis. With the latest technological advances you can now dictate a blog through your voice recognition software and the computer will type the blog as you speak. This way your voice can be heard long after your hands have become gnarled and knotted and no longer fit for typing.
